Room definitely needs some TLC. Issues included rotting window frames, peeling paint above the shower, and dirty cups near the kettle. The breakfast experience was chaotic, with significant delays in orders and wrong dishes delivered.

The all-round atmosphere was lovely. The bedroom was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The food was amazing. Would stay again without a doubt.

Excellent hotel with its own micro brewery. Room was very comfortable with a good breakfast served. Dinner was disappointing but a good wine list went some way to compensate.

The juicy burger I had was fantastic, and the breakfast was freshly cooked. The staff were kind, even offering to keep the kitchen open for us when we arrived late after a long journey.

Good value with an acceptable level of comfort in the rooms.. Food was above average.
Well perhaps a tiny bit of attention to detail would make the stay even better. 4 light bulbs in room 5 were out. But suffices to say I will defiantly stay again......

Beautiful and tastfully decorated room no 4. Fabulous breakfast.
Decided to eat our evening meal elsewhere, because of the lack of vegetarian meal options, only one token veggie meal amongst a long list of fish and meat choices, not really good enough in this day and age. Let me remind you there are millions of vegetarians out there, you are missing a sales opportunity, daily.

The village which it was situated in was very nice, the hotel was just the right size, the area is one we like very much. We had been visiting our daughter in London for a few days so it was nice to break our journey back...
